Robyn Phillips creates machine embroidery designs, but in the late 1990s, she created more than 180 fonts, most of which aren't currently available on any download sites. Most of the fonts in this share were obtained from Luc Devroye. I had about ten of them, and I thought he might have a few more. He did, more than 175 that I didn't have! The vast majority of these are dingbats, but there are quite a few alphabet fonts, and a couple of letterbats. Zynnia Rose made several fonts c. 2000. Two of the fonts, (Goddesses and WitchyBats), have been available on some obscure sites, but in corrupted form. Another font, Pentacles, is also known as Pentadings, (both names appear in the font info headers). It seems that she was inconsistent in how the internal file names were entered. I did some revisions in September, 2007, and the dingbats were hosted by dingbats-uk.co.uk, until the site closed on September 30, 2009. I think I got the script fonts from Luc Devroye. After almost a year of work, I have finally finished the Obey series of dingbat fonts, based on the Obey street art campaign by Shepard Fairey. There are twenty-seven fonts in this collection, including one single glyph font that tiles beautifully at 48 points. My technical skills have improved tremendously in the past couple of months. Hi, folks, it has been many months since I've browsed the Pilo board. I've been working hard on my Obey Series, which now nears completion. I think I've solved the bugs that plagued many of my earlier fonts. The completed fonts so far work fine for me in MS Word, in both .ttf and .otf, and in both caps and lower case. Luc Devroye is doing testing for me in other apps. He's away until Monday, so I'm holding off on releasing the completed fonts until after I get his feedback. My new font series is based on Shepard Fairey's Obey Giant street art campaign. When completed, this series will have at least four fonts, and possibly as many as seven. I've already shared these privately with a few people, and I was waiting for Luc Devroye to post them on my homepage before making them more widely available, but Luc seems to be busy right now, and I'm going to wait a while before following up with him on that.
