Hi,

 

does someone have a descent version of the beautiful revival of Fournier from Typoart ?

It might be worth because it could be the best design from the original Fournier ever (by Pierre-Simon Fournier, circa 1700).

Far from the one from Monotype. Plus it has a very good balance, better than the New Fournier re-interpretation from Francois Rappo (b+p type foundry).

 

It has already been shared in the Typoart thread but it has no kerning.

You can get it in this package (OT conversions, no kerning) (shared by Sandman, thanks !).

 

This version of Fournier is only available to purchase at fonts4ever. But has only two cuts (?) though it is supposed to have six.

 

Maybe someone can rework it from the original from 1994, to get a proper OT version ?

It is available in the Montotype Open Type Library but also just with 2 cuts, regualr and italic.

would you like me to upload them or are those the ones you already have?

Monotype version of Fournier is completely different from the Typoart.

I have a folder of OTFs named: VEB Typoart Fournier, mac conversions.

I don't know any more about them than that, sorry. They may just be the files from Sandman's share but I can't check because that link is dead.

I don't have the Mac fonts they were converted from. I wouldn't call it a "decent version", but anyway...
