I've looked through the forum and downloaded a number of Arabic fonts (thanks!) and there seems to be a massive gulf in quality, more so when I started to show my client who is Arabic and he spotted a few mistakes in the fonts!

 

Anyway I'm posting to see if firstly anyone has had much experience with using Arab typography / typesetting for print and web and secondly any guides to where some good fonts could come from?

 

Linotype have some great Arab versions of Helvetica, Janna and even DIN has been restructured recently (http://blog.parachutefonts.com/?p=1812) Boutros has some good fonts as well but at this stage in the designs we cannot afford £700 for fonts that might not get used

 

Any help or advice would be really appreciated
