Does anyone have any typefaces by Aron Jancso? I really love his work that is on the behance network, especially the FadeAway typeface, I think its really something. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Was hoping to get a second opinion on this. Just another WF if it's fake (therefore unnecessary) but would love them to be real. Grabbed them a while back from GFXTR (or something) but the file size is close-ish to the original shared.

Super cursory review -

In webfonts some typical glyphs are often renamed compared to the desktop version. For instance:

00B7 'periodcentered' becomes 'middot' in the webfont version.

0111 'dcroat' > 'dslash'

00AF 'macron' > 'overscore'

This share seems to follow the webfont conventions.

There are other signs. But, why not leave some specifics for use in helping to differentiate originals from those who refuse to label their rips. :-WX

Mods - OK to move this to a discussion thread.

If the font is edited in Glyphs, it renames those characters automatically when reading in ttf fonts.

Glyphs has some great features but I hate it when it auto-renames glyphs...and the way you have to remember to set "don't use production names" for every font.

I swear "production names" are one of Georg's inventions to combat font piracy. It doesn't really seem to accomplish anything other than renaming glyphs to unixxxx, so that when you open a font you can't build ot features because the glyph names aren't recognized.

I think this share is identical to the family that was shared here (I already had it on my HD anyway):

http://type.is/good/showthread.php/28855-Áron-Jancsó?p=192292#post192292

It was shared as original but as pointed out, it seems to have the specifics of a wf-rip.

These two styles were shared as original at the forum and seem to follow desktop conventions. Also the outlines are better, the wf-rips have some unnecessary extra nodes in some glyphs.
